Hey there! My name is Max Kearns, a 20-year-old freelance photographer from Cape Breton, NS, and the proud owner of Shot by Kearns Professional Photography. My photography journey began in August 2023 when I received my first camera, igniting a passion I didn’t fully realize I had.

As a member of the 2023 Saint Mary's Huskies Football team, I had countless opportunities to capture my teammates in action during training sessions and other school sports activities. Those moments solidified my love for the art and inspired me to learn everything I could, from watching tutorials to seeking advice from talented photographers.

Over the past year, I’ve honed my skills, drawing inspiration from Cape Breton’s stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and vibrant community events. My background as an athlete and experience growing up in the music and event scene gives me a unique perspective, allowing me to anticipate and capture the perfect moments—whether it’s the excitement of a celebration, the emotion of a candid expression, or the interplay of light and motion.
